Statement
The subject of my work focuses on landscapes in nature. I paint the colors and afterimages of the nature I have experienced.
First, I take photos or sketches of the scenery I have actually seen, reconsider why it moved me and why I want to paint it, and then I build an image. I then capture the essence reflected in the natural landscape and turn it into an abstract work.
I was very influenced by Korean abstract art. This is because their works are not only philosophical, but also make you aware of spirituality through the clarity and simplification of shapes and colors.
I work every day hoping to express myself in this way.
In recent years, I have mainly used natural pigments and Indian ink. I feel that these are art materials that are very suitable for the themes I want to express.
Finally, each work is expressed through my own filter, but I think that the viewer can also see and feel through the filter of their own personal experience. For me, creating a work is also for myself. It is also a question to others. And I would like to communicate through my work.
